Our Story

The Beginning

Weledi Academy was born out of a simple observation: talented professionals across Tanzania have knowledge worth sharing, but lack a simple platform to reach learners and get paid for their expertise.

We set out to build a platform where tutors can create courses, set their own rates, and teach live — while students pay conveniently with mobile money.

What We Do

We connect students with professional tutors for live courses and 1-on-1 sessions. Everything happens online — classes run on Google Meet, payments go through M-Pesa, Tigo Pesa, and Airtel Money.

No complicated signups, no hidden fees. Students find a course, pay with their phone, and start learning.

Where We're Going

We're building the most accessible learning platform in East Africa. Every week we're adding more courses, more tutors, and better tools to make learning and teaching easier for everyone.
